Graphite's excellent thermal conductivity, and thus the graphite molds made from it, contribute to improved casting efficiency. During the casting of circular metal ingots, this property allows the liquid metal to cool quickly and evenly, significantly shortening the solidification time. This not only increases production efficiency but also reduces internal stress caused by uneven cooling, effectively preventing cracks or deformation in the metal ingots, making it particularly suitable for casting metals with high thermal conductivity requirements such as copper, aluminum, gold, and silver.

 

Furthermore, graphite molds possess excellent thermal stability and high-temperature resistance, able to withstand extreme temperatures up to 3000°C without softening or deforming. This characteristic makes them perform exceptionally well in high-temperature casting environments. During continuous casting, the mold maintains dimensional stability even after repeated contact with high-temperature molten metal, ensuring consistent specifications for each batch of round metal ingots. Graphite itself has natural self-lubricating properties and low surface energy, preventing molten metal from easily adhering to the mold surface. This characteristic makes the demolding process extremely smooth, resulting in a high surface finish for the circular metal ingots and reducing subsequent processing steps. At the same time, graphite is relatively soft and easy to process into complex circular cavity structures, allowing for the creation of high-precision molds with smooth surface cavities, meeting the production needs of various sizes of circular metal ingots.
