1. High temperature stability of graphite moulds. The melting point of graphite is as high as 3000℃, which is much higher than the melting temperature of gold. Therefore, it can maintain a stable structure in gold ingot casting to avoid mold deformation or melting loss. In addition, the graphite mould has a low thermal expansion coefficient, which can ensure that the mold size changes very little due to heat, thereby ensuring the molding accuracy of the gold ingot.

2. Thermal conductivity and heat dissipation performance of graphite moulds. Graphite moulds have high thermal conductivity and can quickly transfer the heat of the gold solution, achieve uniform cooling, and reduce internal defects. At the same time, graphite moulds can optimize the crystal structure of gold ingots and improve mechanical properties by regulating the cooling rate.

3. Chemical inertness and demolding properties of graphite moulds. Graphite moulds hardly react chemically with gold solution at high temperatures, thus avoiding impurity contamination and ensuring the purity of gold ingots. In addition, the excellent self-lubricating property of graphite moulds reduces the demoulding resistance and improves the surface finish of the gold ingot, thus eliminating the need for additional polishing for the foundry.

4. Economical applicability. Graphite moulds are easy to process and can meet customers' requirements for molds of various shapes and sizes. Compared with tungsten and molybdenum molds, graphite molds have low costs; compared with ceramic molds, graphite molds have long life. In general, the cost advantage of graphite moulds is more significant. In addition, we can also make anti-oxidation coatings for graphite moulds, which can increase the anti-oxidation temperature of graphite moulds to above 600°C to meet the needs of continuous casting.
